We will be instituting some rule changes based upon discussions with league administrators and some of our long time players, at Mocksports.
1. Salary Cap through the end of August will be $310, starting September 1 through the end of the season the salary cap increases to $360 2. The number of charged transactions will be 3 through August 30 at noon. Starting August 30 after noon the number of charged transactions allowed is reduced to 2. 3. No change to stretch run rules 4. Innings penalty rule adjusted to 370 innings minimum from standard 1000 IP. OnRoto system to be adjusted to turn the calculation on and adjust to 370 innings. 5. Position qualifying will be adjusted from 5 games to 3 games for 2020 only. 6. Trade deadline - We will have a poll to decide when our trade deadline will be (poll now closed). Mocksports trade deadline is now officially September 7 by midnight ET.
Thanks,
Joe

Maybe a quick clarification on #2, charged transactions. Sept 1 is a Tuesday, so will the week of Aug. 30-Sept. 6 have 2 or 3 charged transactions?

This didn't come up, but what are maximum number of AB's/innings for minor league players before they must be activated or dropped for the 2021 season? Is it some percentage of the current number?

My example is somebody like Tariq Skubal. I can't find the current rules, but under them, if he pitches a certain number of innings in the majors, and I leave him on my minor league roster, for 2021 I would need to freeze him or lose him in 2021. What will that number of innings be? Same question for a hitter like Alex Bohm who has been activated and is currently playing in the majors, but is on Mocksports minor league rosters.

Geoff, thanks for your reply. I couldn't recall the rule off the top of my head, and I can't find the current rules.

The innings cutoffs are 130AB/50IP. If Skubal doesn't top 50 IP or Bohm doesn't top 130AB then both could be kept as minor league freezes assuming you didn't activate them in 2020.

The rule is now the same as the MLB rule under which rookies qualify. I don't think Crosley has gotten around to incorporating it into the Mocksports written rules.

That would be a good project for me this summer, Geoff!
