I have heard from a few sources that there is still some confusion as to how salaries of minor leaguers are handled.
1. A minor league player was drafted as B4 last year and is kept on the minor league freeze list, he remains as B4. LAs please review your leagues and adjust if needed if you have farm players with other than A5, B4, C3, D2, or E1
2. A minor league player was drafted as a B4 last year and is moved to the major league freeze this then his salary is increased $1 so new salary is $5.
3. A minor league player with B4 salary is promoted in season, he should receive $1 salary increase so new salary is $5
Please double check your leagues and make sure we are all handling the same way. Rule changes can be discussed later in the year but lets work it this way for now.

And the Realist is working on revising the rules to reflect this. Don't press me for an ETA for the revision to go "live".

Does this apply across the board to players from all the years we have had the minors draft. I know in the first few years $1 was added to the player if he was frozen on the minor league roster in year 2.

It does not apply to players activated to the majors in Mocksports before 2021. Anyone who was added to the major freeze list or remained on the minor league freeze list in 2021, it would apply.

There do exist players on minor league rosters who are A6, B5, C4, D3, and/or E2 due to what Ed said above. Are you saying we should change these back to A5, B4, etc.?

Good answer, since that's what I've already done in a few cases!

Joe,
I am thoroughly confused.
here is my list in Robinson
OF #Heston Kjerstad C3 P Brent Honeywell B5 P #Reid Detmers D2 P Casey Mize A5 P #Jared Kelley E1
Kjerstad - Detmers - kelley are selections this year.
Honeywell I picked in the first year and i have kept him as a minor league freeze since then. He was injured and lost 2 1/2 years. The first year I froze him was 2017 and he was changed from B4 to B5 in 2019. No changes since then.
Are we saying that he should be changed back to a B4

We probably need to clarify what happens when farm player are traded. I recently received a D player in a trade. My B farm slot was empty. Next season I expect my A and E slots will be on my major league freeze. Do I pick in the 1st and 5th rounds?

The newly acquired minor leaguer would have to go into an empty slot, so you would pick in the 1st and 5th rounds in 2022. The new guy would keep his $2 minor league salary until promotion to the major leagues, regardless of the letter slot he occupies.
