A question came up in the Bell draft last night about the length of the post-auction period. Rule 4.5 says:
Upon completion of the major league auction, the Auctioneer will post a message in the appropriate league forum officially noting the time of completion of the auction. The Post-Auction Period, in which owners may reserve players on their major league rosters who are not on an appropriate MLB 25-man roster and claim eligible unowned players, begins at that time and continues until 11:59:59 PM on the second day following the START of the auction.
(Example: The Bench NL auction began at 8:00 PM Thursday, March 25 and ended at 12:11 AM Friday, March 26. The Post-Auction Period for Bench will continue until 11:59:59 PM Saturday, March 27.)
So in the case of Bell the post-auction period should end at 11:59:59 PM on Wednesday March 17. Auctioneers generally have not been posting the time of the completion of the auction but have been posting either the Post-auction rosters, a thread for Post-auction transactions, or both. It seems to me that either should signify that the auction has ended.

The timestamp of whichever post is done first (post auction roster or post auction transactions) should be the official end time. I usually create the post auction transaction thread first where I am the auctioneer.
