The Rules Committee has been hard at work and we have changed a few rules from the way we've been doing things for a while. These new rules are in effect NOW.
1. Owners are now allowed to accumulate more than 5 minor leaguers on their rosters. If you trade for a minor leaguer you no longer have to trade one back or waive one, you can have 6 or more on your roster for the remainder of the year. You will still be able to freeze no more than 5 the following spring.
2. There is no longer a charge for "early activation." If an owner "early activates" a player who is not activated by his MLB team he will accumulate no stats until the player is activated by his MLB team. If he wishes to reserve the "early activated" player again and claim a new player that will be a charged transaction.
