In the leagues I entered to OnRoto I kept the minor league salaries the same as last year. In Bell, whoever entered them gave minor leaguers retained from last year's roster a $1 raise. One of us did this incorrectly and needs to go back and change some minor league salaries. What is the rule for this year?

I'm speaking for the Commish here, but judging by the minor leaguers who were frozen to MLB rosters this year, adding $1 is the correct approach. That IS what the rules say, but we didn't enforce/apply that rule last spring.

That is what the rules say but since they weren't enforced last year I went by the salaries on the post-auction rosters posted by Rick. I'll be happy to go back and change the salaries I entered if Rick decides to enforce the rule this year. It just wasn't clear to me if we were increasing the salaries of all frozen minor leaguers this year or only those promoted to the majors. Also, since there were a few of us who entered rosters to OnRoto, it's important that we all keep to the same convention. As near as I can tell, $1 raises were implemented in Bell, Gibson, and Uecker with the other leagues not implementing raises.

The way I understood the rule a dollar added to the salaries of farm players who were frozen on the active rosters of their fantasy teams because they were not longer eligible for a farm roster spot. I don't think it would correct to add a dollar to every farm players salary. if you think about it, if a farm player is really good and he makes it to the majors quickly, he would end up with up with a lower salary than a less talented player drafted in the same round who took longer to get to the majors. Personally I don't think the salaries of any farm player should change until they are on the major league roster. I think, since we have the option of not activating a farm player when they become active with their major league teams, this gives weaker teams a valuable path to a stronger freeze the next season. Adding a buck weakens that advantage. Not sure we really want to do that.
