Also, what is the minimum IP for 2020? 370 IP maybe? since its 37% of the full season being played? LOL - I didn't even know we had a minimum innings rule in Mocksports but there it is in the rules... 2.2.1 In the calculation of points for rate-based pitching categories (ERA and WHIP), a minimum number of innings pitched (IP) is applied. The current minimum aggregate IP for a team’s pitchers is 1,000. (This requirement may be adjusted for future seasons.) If a team’s pitchers have accumulated the minimum IP by the end of the Mocksports baseball season, ERA and WHIP are calculated normally, as described in Section 2.1.2. If a team’s pitchers do NOT accumulate enough IP, that team’s statistics are adjusted as follows: Enough innings are added to the team’s actual number of innings pitched to make a combined total equal to the minimum. An equal number of earned runs are added to the team’s actual number of earned runs allowed. An equal number of baserunners (hits plus bases on balls) are added TWICE to the team’s actual number of baserunners allowed. EXAMPLE: The Nyesville Nine’s pitchers end the season with 938 IP, a team ERA of 3.934 (410 earned runs) and a team WHIP of 1.31 (1,229 baserunners). To meet the required minimum, 62 innings, 62 earned runs, and 124 baserunners are added to the Nine’s team totals, resulting in an adjusted ERA of 4.248 and an adjusted WHIP of 1.353. The adjusted figures are then used in calculating final league standings. Also, not sure if we have OnRoto configured to calculate this. Will have to do some research and advise. Joe

Joe I just checked the set up in Robinson and it is available but is not turned on. To save me the trouble of looking at every league, do the LA's know if their leagues have minimum innings penalty turned on? Joe

Where do I look to find this? I was also unaware of a minimum IP rule.

The rule is in the rules but in OnRoto look in Set Up - Misc page is where you turn it on and set the number of innings.

Lol yeah sometimes I can barely make the 1000 IP in the normal years. So, surely it can't be 1000 IP still again for this abbreviated season?

Thanks - it is not turned on in Snider. I looked quickly, it is not turned on in any AL league.

I believe I have been checking at/near the end of the season since this rule was added to confirm that there's no impact on standings - especially on who wins each league. Don't ask me exactly when or why this was added to our rules, though.

I actually like the rule. Any reason not to automate it by turning it on in OnRoto? For this year, we would need to settle on a 60 game innings minimum to use (which is the reason that this part of the thread was started by tomfool ).

I like the rule too. I agree with Tom's original thought, since the season is 37% of normal use 370 innings.
